— Resident at Beauvais and Angelus House
Our team of milieu counselors foster healthy relationships by helping center the ‘family’ experience in residential living. They are kind, mindful and emotionally equipped to hold space for our residents to continue to grow and heal. These college graduate front line people help residents process a confusing conversation, encourage them to learn a new skill or take on a new responsibility, work with our farm animals, share their unique gifts (such as knitting, cooking, playing games) or sit quietly with our residents to help them settle into their own place and space. We offer full time, part time and per diem positions to support resident population.
IMMEDIATE OPENING
The Arch Bridge School at Wellspring, located in Bethlehem, has a part time opening for a Health and Physical Education teacher for our state approved, and NEASC accredited independent private school.
The Physical Education Teacher for the Arch Bridge School will provide physical education for our school programs covering middle and high school grades. Scheduling for the PE classes is flexible. The part time PE Teacher can provide PE classes during one full day, or over two days. This will be discussed with those selected for interview.
The Arch Bridge School is part of Wellspring, a therapeutic and educational center in the rural, northwest corner of Connecticut (Litchfield County.) The school serves the educational needs of both residential and day students.
The Arch Bridge School offers core academics and college preparatory courses, allowing students to meet their unique academic objectives while in Residential Treatment or as students attending our Therapeutic Day School. Our students tend to be bright, creative and college bound.
Our most successful teachers have an experiential approach to learning and thrive when able to teach in a kind, nurturing environment. We offer an opportunity to teach in small, well-supported classroom settings. Class size tends to be 4-8 students but does not exceed twelve (12) students. We have multiple clinicians on staff to provide immediate support throughout the day. This allows our teachers the chance to provide a creative, challenging, relational classroom where each student is known as an individual. Our teachers are part of a cohesive team that collaborate regularly with each other and our students and are truly able to make a difference in their lives.
