Long Distance Family Program

New England's premier residential treatment program guides and teaches families how to become a part of the healing process. Our long distance family program is designed to deepen family relationships, and provide a wonderful way for families to interact with their child through a Wellspring experience.

When a family lives too far from our campus in Bethlehem, CT, to make in-person weekly visits, we work together so they can still be part of their child’s treatment program.  Once a week families attend family sessions with their therapist and once a month families meet with their child’s program director or psychiatrist.   These meetings take place via zoom, but we always invite and encourage in person visits when possible.

Family Intensive Weekends

In addition to the weekly sessions and monthly check-ins, families attend Family Intensive Weekends that take place in March, June, September and December.  These weekends are designed to deepen family relationships, and provide a wonderful way for families to interact with their child through a Wellspring experience.  In addition to scheduled therapy sessions and family training sessions, families participate in programs that are centered by the staff who has been working with their child. Depending on the time of year, families might find themselves playing trust-building games on the quad, taking a walk along the Wellspring creek, meeting and grooming our goats, or going off campus to explore the many hidden treasures in our local area.  We provide families with a list of local outings, as well as local hotels. Our campus is a one to two hour car ride from several airports in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey.
