Shiloah House @Wellspring

Wellspring has something very special – almost indescribable – changes become more amazing week after week. We will always remember what you did for our child. (Testimonial of a Children's Program parent)

Children’s Residential Program

Shiloah at Wellspring is a premier residential psychiatric treatment center for children ages 6-13 in New England. This small seven bed facility is located in a large country home in the scenic hills of northwestern Connecticut. The peaceful atmosphere and caring staff provide the sense of security necessary for a child and family to risk restoring relationships secondary to psychological, emotional and behavioral problems. Instead of removing the children from the family, the family is supported and invited into the treatment setting and trained as an essential partner in the healing process.

Children in this program are provided a safe and structured setting, where healing, attachment, learning and change can occur. Since children learn more through experience than talk, Wellspring takes great care in structuring the child’s daily experiences and relationships as opportunities for healing. Our milieu-based treatment program is supported by an exceptional educational program that is integrated with therapy and dovetails with the treatment schedule. The Arch Bridge School at Wellspring has received multiple commendations from the State Department of Education including praise as a comfortable, safe environment with a positive teacher-student rapport and an atmosphere of mutual respect.

Shiloah welcomes a variety of relational problems and diagnoses including: Mood disorders, PTSD & Anxiety disorders, ADHD, and Attachment disorders.
