Learn more about Wellspring’s Beauvais House in the words of our adolescent girls and their families

To witness our daughter taking responsibility for her life, making good choices, and striving to be independent is nothing short of miraculous considering the despair she was in as an adolescent. As she embarks on her college career we see a different individual. We will never forget the care, concern and guidance you provided to give our daughter a chance for a wonderful life.

Every single person (staff and residents) helped me through some very rough times.
I am grateful to ALL for the support I received.

Wellspring cared about us as a family.

I am not sure where my family would be right now without the help of Wellspring.

We all come to Wellspring with our own concerns, needs, anger and sadness and there’s nothing like expressing it in a safe, caring environment.

Our daughter arrived at Wellspring with many issues. Her mood swings were significant and she cut herself regularly. Along with this, she was oppositional, insecure, and out of control. After multiple hospitalizations we found Wellspring. It was here that she was able to regain her confidence and work with her therapist to become the young woman she is today. Our entire family learned so much, and we are so very thankful.

Before coming to Wellspring we had been from doctor to doctor, hospital to hospital, medication to medication, underwent neurological, psychological and other testing. Not to mention meeting after meeting with insurance companies, teachers, school counselors, special ed directors, our own therapists (plural) with tons of paperwork each time.

Wellspring to me is the most amazing place. It is a perfect place to share the feeling of despair, the tears, the anger, the love, the laughter, and to be able to ask questions and receive feedback, direction, advice, and understanding. The beautiful people that work there dedicate a big part of their lives to helping and healing us are so compassionate and gifted as they offer those gifts to us. It has saved our lives and allowed us to be a family again.

I collapsed at Wellspring, because I could no longer hold myself up. It was the first place I felt safe to do the hard work.

I wish I could explain the Wellspring experience or give you a formula, but I can’t. I know that my family was cared for by a group of the most amazing professionals who fought for my daughter and fought for all of us to survive. They made us feel safe, they pushed us and challenged us, and they held us when we cried. Every person in the program was personally dedicated to our cause. I went through the worst experience of my life and I am happy to tell the tale.

I now know that my daughter loves and respects me as her Mom and her parent – that’s HUGE! I can tell her that I love her or talk with her when she has done something that has hurt me or made me sad. I can talk with her about decisions she’s making or actions that she takes without a fear that she’ll push me away.

We were concerned that our daughter’s education would suffer if she left the school she was enrolled in (to attend residential treatment). The teachers at Wellspring’s Arch Bridge School wound up being a blessing. They made learning interesting, and since attending Arch Bridge our daughter has truly flourished in her education.
