Milieu Counselors – Per Diem

Wellspring is in the process of building a strong Per Diem pool of floor coverage counselors for both year round and holiday/school break/summer support. Our Milieu Counselor position is an entry level position and is available in all of our programs. Experience in/knowledge of one or more of the following diagnoses is a plus: attachment disorder, eating disorders, substance abuse, depression, borderline personality disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder. We are now accepting applicants with a two-year degree, or 60 college credits completed, who have experience working in a therapeutic field. Prior experience working with one or more of the age groups that we serve is desirable, but not required. A high percentage of our per diem staff members are offered permanent positions.

We encourage you to consider more than one age group when applying for a per diem position. Staff members who are able to provide coverage in more than one program are greatly valued. In addition, gaining experience with more than one age group while applying our therapeutic model has proven to be beneficial for the staff member’s own growth and development within our field. Learn more about the Programs on their webpages

So that we might be able to get a better idea of your interest, experience, and availability please indicate in your cover letter the age group(s) for which you want to be considered. The options are:
