Health Benefits

Health benefits include medical and dental insurance. Wellspring also provides, at no cost to the employee, short term and long term disability coverage and a life insurance policy valued at 1.5 times the employee’s annual salary. An employee with an employment agreement of 30/hr per week, or more, is eligible for this health benefit package.

Personal Leave Benefits

In addition, employees with employment agreements of 20 hrs per week, or more, earn paid Personal Leave. This PL time is currently accrued each payroll period at the following accrual rates:

(FT) Full-time agreements (40hrs per week) accrues 10hrs of PL each payroll period.

(PT) Part-Time agreements (30-39hrs per week) accrues 7.5hrs of PL each payroll period.

(HT) Half-Time agreements (20-29hrs per week) accrues 5hrs of PL each payroll period.

Over the period of a full year (26 bi-weekly payroll periods) 260hrs (FT), 195hrs (PT) and 130hrs (HT) are accrued respectively. Personal Leave may be used for personal, vacation, sick or holiday leave.
